Yummy supper or lunch dish for toddlers from 9 months and kids (but I know adults love this too). So simple, so easy yet so comfortingly delicious!

  • 2 slices, SPAR brown bread, buttered
  • 50 grams cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 SPAR large egg, beaten
  • 120 ml SPAR UHT milk
  • 1 teaspoon(s) fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0 marmite for spreading


  1. Spread the buttered bread with Marmite, trim off the crusts and cut each slice into four triangles
  2. Place half the bread triangles into a small greased ovenproof dish, add half the cheese and place the remaining bread triangles on top then cover with the remaining cheeses
  3. Beat the egg and milk together, add freshly chopped parsley and pour the egg mixture over the bread letting it soak in
  4. Bake in a preheated oven 180C or Gas 4, for 25 - 30 mins until egg cooked.  Don't let it dry out
  5. Don't serve to kids piping hot, let it sit, out of the oven, for a few minutes allowing the dish and meal to cool down.  Serve warm and enjoy a happy supper time
