Great for marinating pork ribs and chicken pieces, available from your SPAR butchery

  • 250 ml BOLS brandy
  • 330 ml can COCA-COLA
  • 300 ml tomato ketchup
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon(s) SPAR Deli hot chilli sauce (optional)


  1. Whisk together all of the ingredients, pour 1/3 of the marinade over the meat, reserve the remainder.  Marinate for 3 hours, or in the fridge overnight.  
  2. Take meat out of fridge at least 10 minutes before cooking.  Braai meat to your liking.
  3. When meat just about ready to serve, put remaining marinade in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat, reducing the mixture by half.  
  4. Pour the reduced sauce over the meat and serve
